Rentals

Personal Rentals

One personal rental is allowed per account. You may decorate the outside of your rental as you wish, but please use common sense. Flower boxes in the windows are fine, for example, but anything that obstructs the scenery or pathways outside will be returned to you.

It is not required to rent a home in order to roleplay. Please keep with the medieval fantasy theme of the sim even while in your rental. While guests are perfectly welcome, this applies to them, too. Please have all guests who do not wish to use the RP HUD wear an OOC tag.

Do not enter a rental that doesn’t belong to you without permission from the renter.

What You Can and Cannot Rez

Your rental has a firm prim limit. Objects that may not be rezzed:

  • Objects that make sounds (unless the volume is VERY low, or muted).
  • Teleporters.
  • Tip jars, or anything that can be paid/bought.
  • Heavily scripted objects.
  • Offensive objects.

Destruction of Property

Houses, buildings, and other structures can be damaged or completely destroyed through roleplay.

  • Minor damage to structures that players don't own, such as public areas or faction bases, can be done without permission. You must notify the faction lead, a moderator, or an admin if the damage would be noteworthy. This may not be done to a player-owned rental without that owner's permission. This kind of damage can include broken windows and doors, minor theft, knocking things over, and so on. Be aware that the structure will likely be considered repaired within a few hours if it is located in the city and is not in the Lower Ward or Hive.
  • Moderate damage to structures that players don't own, such as public places or faction bases, cannot be done without permission from the faction lead or administrators. This may not be done to a player-owned rental without that owner's permission. This kind of damage may include acts of arson, major theft, breaking and entering, and so on.
  • Destruction of a structure beyond repair requires admin approval. Player-owned rentals may not be destroyed.
